Steel Magnolias
The head of De La Rosa & Co.'s Municipal Bond Sales Department walks for a personal cause.

Count on Jane Alexander to stand out in a crowd, even surrounded by 50,000 people in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. This May, Alexandar and several friends will participate in their seventh Revlon Run-Walk to fight women's cancers. The head of De La Rosa & Co.'s Municipal Bond Sales Department walks for a personal cause.

"Judy Dunlap was one of my best friends. Judy was in the municipal bond business for about 25 years, and fought a brave fight with breast cancer for 10 years. The first year we walked was 2001, a year after she died." Alexander said.

"When my friend Lisa Montebone first put the group together, we named ourselves the Steel Magnolias in honor of Judy. She was from Alabama and was a true Steel Magnolia."

Last year, about 30 Steel Magnolia walkers raised $7,500. Their goal is to raise $10,000 this year. De La Rosa is sponsoring Alexander. More information is available online at www.revlonrunwalk.com/la/html.main/home07.html about the May 12 Revlon Run-Walk.
