Robert Barna joined the De La Rosa & Co. Education Finance team in 2009. Barna previously headed Citigroup’s K-14 Education Finance practice in the Western Region. Over the course of 16 years, he has helped dozens of California school and community college districts to obtain more than $15 billion of general obligation bond authorizations. He has also helped issue certificates of participations/lease revenue bonds, Mello-Roos bonds, and tax and revenue anticipation notes.

Barna received an MBA with concentrations in Finance, Accounting and Public/Non-Profit Management from Columbia Business School in 1993, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1987. He holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
