Nils Barrett joined De La Rosa & Co. in September 2008, bringing with him more than 17 years of sales and trading experience in municipal finance. Barrett works on the Sales and Trading Desk in Los Angeles, where he specializes in institutional fixed-income sales to a variety of investors, including mutual funds, insurance companies, commercial banks, money managers and individuals.

Prior to joining De La Rosa, Barrett covered institutional fixed-income sales on the West Coast and covered institutional accounts nationwide for A.G. Edwards & Sons, where he played an essential role in establishing a West Coast municipal trading desk. He also managed the trading and sales desk for nearly ten years at Oppenheimer & Co., where he was responsible for trading all municipal debt and maintaining an inventory for high net-worth retail distribution and institutional sales on the West Coast.

Barrett received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University in 1990. He is registered with the NASD and holds Series 6, 7 and 63 licenses. His personal interests include golfing, skiing and winemaking.
